Larne Festival Success!

Yesterday our Junior and Senior choirs took part in the annual Larne festival. As always, both choirs did us proud and sang exceptionally well receiving high praise from the adjudicator.

The Junior Choir sang two pieces and came first in their class. The adjudicator noted their ‘wonderful storytelling’ with their singing and was most impressed with them. Well done to our P3s and 4s - you were great!

The Senior Choir took part in two classes this year. In the hymn singing class they were narrowly beaten into second place after two beautiful hymns. However, it was in the open class where the Senior Choir proved just how good they are! The adjudicator described their singing of ‘Hushabye Mountain’ as ‘perfect’. Not only did they win that class, they were also presented with the prize for the best Primary School choir of the competition.

Well done to the boys and girls; you were all brilliant! Also, a big word of thanks to the staff preparing and leading the choirs week after week. Miss McClelland, Mrs Beck, Mrs Penney, Miss Earls and Mrs Norris. Thank you ladies for all your hard work!
